Lynn and Marks wedding was all about the charming beauty of winter. A colour palette of whites and off whites, dark blues and textures of birchwood, that made its appearance in the invitations, decor and floral pieces, helped paint the perfect wintery scene. In true Canadian winter fashion, the couple also braved the cold and snow to take gorgeous winter themed photos!
Package: Pop Up Wedding– At Citadel Theatre – Tucker Amphitheatre
Sweetest detail: Lynn and Mark loved the idea of having an intimate ceremony and moving the celebration to a restaurant afterwards. With so many loved ones coming in from out of town, they were excited to show off a fantastic Edmonton restaurant and of course not having to deal with any set up, prep or clean up was a huge plus for them. But the cutest part? They had their reception at Ampersand | 27, the same restaurant that they had their very first date! AW!
Love the look: From head to toe, Lynn’s bridal look was stunning. Her dress elegantly covered in detailed lace that cascaded downwards, her waist being cinched together in the back with a pearly white ribbon that matched her pearls. Delicate dangling pearl earrings, a single line of them around her neck and several more making another appearance on both her pearl encrusted hairpiece and her champagne coloured shoes.
Did you know: The birch tree is an auspicious symbol in different cultures all over the world. One common meaning is that birch trees represent new beginnings, renewal and the promise of what is to come. How fitting for a ceremony that celebrates the start of a new chapter for couples.
