Christina and Jason knew that a small elopement would suit their small, but about to become larger, family. They described their dream wedding as simple and sweet. Tying the knot at the Muttart Conservatory meant that even in the first week of January in freezing cold Edmonton, we all still felt like we had been transported somewhere warm and blissful. After the ceremony, Christina and Jason took their new family to MEAT, a fantastic local restaurant, to celebrate.
Package: Elopement at the Muttart Conservatory – Arid Pyramid
Favorite moment: Watching how excited the boys were to be a part of the ceremony! From waiting for Christina to walk down the aisle, bringing up the rings, reading a passage and making sure to snap a few pictures along the way, they loved being involved.
Sweetest detail: Christina wanted a simple bouquet to hold while walking down the aisle, and when she requested Calla Lilies our immediate thought was “perfect!”. We hand tied her mini bouquet with simple white ribbon and it just goes to show whether you have 1 stem or 100, flowers are always a win!
Did you know: Not all the honey you buy on store shelves is real honey?! In fact I watched an entire Netflix documentary episode about scams in the honey industry (Show: Rotten, Episode: Lawyers, Guns & Honey). Which makes the fact that the honey used for the favours is 100% natural and made from bees raised in Alberta even sweeter.
A huge thank you to everyone involved:

The Muttart Conservatory is a botanical garden located in the North Saskatchewan river valley, across from the downtown core in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Muttart Conservatory was more than just a botanic garden; it hosts many of the Providences premier floral shows, educational programs for children, horticultural courses for adults and continues as a very popular site for weddings, banquets and business functions. I’m looking forward on planning my own weeding here someday. Thank you so much for this helpful article and best wishes to the newly weds!!
