These two were so much fun together, you could tell they were best friends! Their favourite thing to do is just enjoy each other’s company, indulge in some wine, hang out on their patio and talk for hours. Which to be honest, sounds like an ideal way to end any day! We’ve realized throughout the years of working with our couples, that when you’ve found your best friend, it makes doing all life’s activities, both the exciting and the boring ones, just that much sweeter.

Nick & Arlyse decided to have a beautiful ceremony witnessed by their friends and family at one of Edmonton’s most loved attractions, the Zoo! Now, an Edmonton Valley Zoo wedding might not seem like an intimate and beautiful affair, but it definitely can be. You might be thinking, ‘Really? You mean that place with the Humpty Dumpty statue?’ You bet, except Humpty no longer lives there sadly. After a massive reno, this place is beautiful in the winter. And don’t just take my word for it, look at all the stunning photos below. We never would have guessed that this was the Zoo based on photos alone, you know, if we hadn’t planned the entire thing that is ;).

Favourite moment: The first dance! The light was streaming in through the windows, Arkells playing on the speaker (same song as their video), and these two dancing in their own little world. Sometimes, people think that because they are getting married in such a non traditional way, they have to give up some of those traditional moments. Our answer is always, your wedding your way! Whether you want to include or not include these moments will always be your choice and we always work with you to fit in everything your heart desires!
